Thanksgiving in Michigan

I have so many updates to my blog. I am going to do them in a few different posts.

We spent Thanksgiving in MI with my family. We had such a great time. The kids were great on the plane and the weather was definitely winter. We got about 3 inches of Snow on Sunday which was nice. Ashlyn loved running in it.

We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner. As always Mom did a great job of cooking. We were teasing her on the Turkey it turned out great even in her 50 year old Roaster that we decided wasn't working right! (I am not kidding it really is that old)

I think the best way to sum up our weekend is in pictures!

We then celebrated Kelsey's Birthday (December 2nd is her actual b-day) Ashlyn loves to celebrate birthday's and we have a ton of them between October and February!
Then we got a picture of Ryan modeling his hat!

Then we actually got a great picture of Grandpa with his Grandson's! Dalton finally got in a snapshot!
Grandpa took the kids for a ride on the tractor, Ashlyn told me she saw a Kangaroo (aka Deer)

Ashlyn fed and petted the horse. Her FAVORITE thing to do when we go visit Grandma and Grandpa is seeing the horse. I think we are in trouble since the horse is 27 years old, I don't think he is going to be with us for very many more years. He is a great horse. I showed him for many years and he still looks good, despite the winter coat.
We also went into downtown Mason to mail a letter to Santa and get our picture taken with the big Santa in the courthouse square.

Ryan was also obsessed with the cat. Every time the cat came inside (it's a barn cat) Ryan would crawl around chasing the cat!
Ashlyn, Kelsey and Grandma made a Gingerbread House!
Ashlyn enjoyed decorating it and eating the candy as she went along
Then it was Sunday and Mom thought it would be pretty to go pick out their Tree and cut it down when there was light snow flurries in the air. She thought she would get a great picture for her Christmas cards. Sounds beautiful and like a good plan.

UMM Sunday came and it was more like a blizzard as the entire family goes to get a Christmas tree! This definitely made for another great family Christmas memory.

Ryan actually liked the snow and was a good trooper until the very end, he was all bundled up also in a snowsuit.

And finally on Monday morning when we left. All the snow made for a beautiful background for a great family picture! We had such a great time and so glad that it snowed. Definitely got us in the Christmas spirit!
